My journey began over 20 years ago, starting from the shop floor and working my way up through various roles, each step adding to my wealth of experience and deepening my love for this industry.

Throughout my career, I’ve embraced challenges and celebrated successes, always with a focus on continuous learning and growth. From Store Manager to Retail Consultant: A Journey of Growth

My career in retail has been a journey filled with learning, challenges, and significant milestones. Here are some key moments that have shaped my path and led me to where I am today.

1999

In 1999, I began my accidental career in retail. Starting as a store associate, I quickly discovered my passion for the industry and the joy of helping customers find exactly what they needed. This initial role was a perfect introduction to the fast-paced world of retail, allowing me to develop a deep understanding of operations and customer service.”

Over the next 20 years, I advanced to the role of store manager. This long tenure was marked by numerous achievements, including building winning teams, driving profitable businesses, and creating pathways for my team’s advancements. My leadership style evolved to be inclusive and motivational, fostering an environment where everyone felt valued and empowered to succeed.

These years were crucial in honing my skills in team cohesion and motivation. I implemented innovative strategies to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. My ability to connect with my team on a personal level resulted in high employee retention rates and a thriving store environment. It was during this time that I realized the profound impact effective leadership could have on both employees and the business.

2021

In 2021, I transitioned to a corporate HR role, a move that provided me with a broader perspective on the retail industry. This new role highlighted a significant ‘People Problem’—a noticeable disconnect between corporate leadership and store teams. I saw firsthand how this gap affected overall morale and productivity, and it was clear that a solution was needed.”

While the corporate environment offered new challenges and learning opportunities, I missed the direct interactions and the camaraderie of having a team. This experience was pivotal in shaping my vision for future solutions in the retail industry. It became evident that bridging this gap required innovative approaches to leadership development and team building.

2022

Motivated by the gaps I observed, I founded ‘Luxify,’ a Retail Leadership & Team Building Consulting Company in 2022. The goal was clear: to address the leadership deficit and lack of team-building tools within the retail sector. ‘Luxify’ aimed to provide targeted solutions that would enhance company culture, drive team cohesion, and ultimately improve business performance.”
